Snack est un autoportrait réalisé en longue exposition, avant que je ne quitte mon ancien appartement. Je pensais à cette scène depuis longtemps et j'avais besoin de lui donner vie. Il s'agit d'un portrait nocturne d'une personne solitaire à la recherche d'un en-cas de minuit. Baignée uniquement par la lumière du réfrigérateur, la silhouette floue transmet un sentiment de simplicité et de vulnérabilité, soulignant la nature éphémère de ce moment intime.
Cette image sert d'exploration visuelle des espaces personnels, abordant les notions d'intimité, d'habitudes alimentaires et d'impudeur. La perspective du voyeur invite les spectateurs à assister à ce moment privé, transcendant l'ordinaire pour observer une expérience solitaire, humaine et réaliste.

Snack is a long-exposure self-portrait, captured before I moved out of my old apartment. I had been thinking about this scene for a long time and needed to bring it to life. It presents a nocturnal portrait of a solitary person in search of a midnight snack. Bathed only in the glow of the refrigerator’s light, the blurred silhouette conveys a sense of simplicity and vulnerability, emphasizing the ephemeral nature of this intimate moment.
This image serves as a visual exploration of personal spaces, addressing notions of intimacy, eating habits and shamelessness. The voyeuristic perspective invites viewers to witness this private moment, transcending the ordinary to observe a solitary experience, human and relatable.

Fenêtre II est une photographie prise dans ma chambre à coucher un jour de pluie.
La fenêtre est un motif récurrent dans mon travail, à la fois littéral et symbolique. Nombre de mes créations sont proportionnées à partir de fenêtres spécifiques de mon espace de vie, dans le but de créer des œuvres d'art qui évoquent l'intimité et un sentiment d'échelle familière. Cela contribue au sentiment que la scène observée est une fenêtre ouverte dans le mur de la galerie, permettant de voir au-delà de la représentation, qui devient une passerelle, transportant instinctivement les spectateurs dans un autre monde.
La fenêtre possède de multiples qualités évocatrices avec lesquelles je m'engage depuis de nombreuses années. Elle marque une frontière physique, mais c'est aussi un point d'interaction et d'observation du monde, où les regards peuvent passer de l'observateur à l'observé. D'un point de vue conceptuel et sémantique, elle ressemble aux interfaces numériques que nous utilisons quotidiennement, ce qui m'a amené à réfléchir à la multiplicité des "fenêtres" virtuelles qui imprègnent nos vies.
Fenêtre II est une évocation poétique de la membrane fragile qui nous sépare du monde extérieur.

Fenêtre II is a photograph from my bedroom on a rainy day.
The window is a recurring motif in my work, both literal and symbolic. Many of my creations are proportioned from specific windows in my living space, with the aim of creating artworks that evoke intimacy and a sense of familiar scale. This contributes to the feeling that the scene witnessed is an open window in the gallery wall, allowing to see beyond the representation, which becomes a gateway, instinctively transporting viewers to enter another world.
The window possesses multiple evocative qualities that I have been engaging with for many years. It marks a physical boundary, but it is also a point of interaction and observation of the world; where gazes can pass from observer to observed. Conceptually and semantically, it resembles the digital interfaces with which we engage on a daily basis, leading me to reflect on the multiplicity of virtual ‘windows’ that permeate our lives.
Fenêtre II is a poetic evocation of the fragile membrane that separates us from the outside world.
